Underneath a "Black Face"

On the cover of French Vogue there is a black woman posing. Surprisingly she is not a real black woman; she is white! This magazine issue has cause controversy across the nations. As an African American woman myself I felt disrespected although they did not mean to do it intentionally. If they wanted to have black faces they should have had black models like Alec Wek. So maybe we have had an impact on the fashion industry on other races but to be honest we began the history of fashion beginning with the Egyptians; not many people realize that.
